Kimberlyn Jones
From the womb, Kimberlyn J. Jones was anointed to be an encourager to God’s people. She began writing short skits at the age of 15, has written/produced three stage plays, “Baby, I’ve Got What You Need”, “Decisions” and “Real Life”.
The daughter of a humble, loving, kind God-fearing mother (Arbedella Ford), who raised her together with her husband (Henry Ford), a Pastor, who lived by his motto, “If I Can Help Somebody as I travel along, then my living shall not be in vain.” After his passing, Kim adopted his motto and dedicated her life to encouraging people to be who God created them to be and never accept mediocrity.
Kim pursued her higher learning at CSULB, later transferring to a private Christian University, Bible Institute of Los Angeles (Biola), to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership.
She was called to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ in March 1991, was licensed to preach in September 1991 and ordained April 1997. She served as Youth Minister at St. Mark Baptist Church for ten years. While working faithfully in the church, Kim discovered God blessed her with a special love for people who had been wounded, abused, neglected, and cast aside.
In June 1991, she founded Help Somebody Ministries, a ministry established to help meet the needs of the least, the lost and the left out. October 2003, the Church, Help Somebody Ministries was formed and still thrives today in full affect. Her profession is Supervisory Financial Management Analyst for the Department of Defense. In obedience to God she serves as Pastor of Help Somebody Ministries, but her passion is writing. Her love and passion for people led to the writing of the best seller, “Me Inside Out” published in December 2010. New best-seller, "Real Life Conversations; Friday Morning Inspiration" will be released, July 9, 2016.
Her vision is to let the world know (through the gifts and talents God has blessed her with), that God loves His people and He is using her as a channel to be a blessing, by letting them know, what happened to them, or what they did in their past does not change why He created them, and neither should it stop them from being who He created them to be. God has a plan for our lives and we should live to live out His plan.
She is the mother of two, Jonathan and Jalecia, and proud grandmother to Syd, Saniya, Skye & Charles (CJ) who are the apples of her eye. If asked the question, “What would you want everyone to know about you?” Her response would be, “I love the Lord, my family, and His Church; and, my desire is to please God in being a blessing to all.”
